The author of Psalm 1 uses the image of a fruitful and flourishing tree as a representation of one who is righteous. With roots planted deep in God’s Word, with a life nourished by God’s precepts and principles, we can thrive. “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither, but whatever they do prospers.” (Psalm 1:1-3, NIV) God wants us to thrive. He is eager for us to do “exceeding abundantly, beyond all we can ask or think.” (Ephesians 3:20)

1010 Thrive ministries are designed to point believers and non-believers to the principles that lead to thriving in this life. They are based on the second part of John 10:10 in which Jesus declares the following: “I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” We hope that each person who listens to our podcast, follows our content on our YouTube channel, wears one of our T-shirts or uses one of our other products or takes one of our workshops will see themselves in the “they” about whom Jesus declares.

Just like the tree planted deep in the rich stream-fed soil prospers, so the one guided by God’s law can thrive. There are 10 foundational principles in God’s Word that can guide one down the path to an abundant life. Our ministries are designed to help one understand, fall in love with and by the power of the Spirit, live in accordance with these principles.

Peter Anderson is a long-time writer, youth and drama ministry leader, and educator.  He began a preaching career at age 8 and has preached throughout the U.S., Europe, and his native country of Jamaica. He has worked with students, from every level, from Kindergarten to college. He has written, directed and acted in theatrical productions that have been presented throughout the United States.
